Kate Monaghan has studied playwriting as a Community Scholar at the University of Virginia since 2009, and remains active in the local theater community as a playwright, actor and director.
She has been writing plays since 2001. Her plays have been produced in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, Ohio and North Carolina. They have won awards as Best Play at the Wilmington Drama League’s annual one-act play contest, the Delaware Community Theater Association’s Annual One-Act Play Festival, and the Brunswick Little Theater one-act play contest (Southport, NC).
Kate is a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Minneapolis Playwrights’ Center, and the Playwrights Lab at Live Arts Theater in Charlottesville, and was co-founder of the First Draft Playwrights Circle in Wilmington, Delaware.
Composer Matt Casarino
Matt Casarino has been writing and producing music for over thirty years. Musicals include Johnny Infamous (book, music & lyrics), workshopped and produced by Emerging Artists Theatre (OB); Rock n' Roll Soup (book, music & lyrics) and Goldilocks (book, music & lyrics), both produced at the Grand Opera House and Wilmington Drama League in Wilmington, DE, The Cleaning Guy (music), produced at the 2016 NY Fringe Festival and Resolutions (music). In addition to music-directing and conducting countless musicals from My Fair Lady to Rent, Matt has released three solo albums of original material - his latest, All This Life, is available on iTunes and Amazon.com. Matt is the sole songwriter for his band Hot Breakfast!; their albums and singles are available on iTunes and Amazon.com and have been heard on several compilations and radio stations, including Little Steven's Underground Garage on SiriusXM. Matt was awarded Songwriter of the Year at the 2014 WSTW Hometown Heroes "Homey" Awards.
